Good Candidates for the O-Shot and P-Shot Plus

Both men and women sometimes experience issues with sexual function that affect some aspects of their quality of life. For men, issues with erectile dysfunction (ED) could contribute to relationship problems or difficulty with attempts to father a child. For women, poor lubrication and other vaginal changes sometimes result in decreased sexual pleasure. Changes in tissues within this area could also affect bladder functions. Fortunately, there are two amazing procedures available for men and women looking to improve their sexual health and the quality of tissues in their intimate areas. You are warmly invited to learn about the O-Shot and P-Shot Plus™.

O-Shot vs. O-Shot Plus™

You may be wondering what the difference is between the O-Shot and the O-Shot Plus™, so it’s important to learn about each treatment option. The Orgasm Shot or O-Shot is a female genital injection that involves the use of concentrated platelets known as platelet-rich plasma (PRP). It’s a treatment that’s meant to stimulate cell regeneration and boost tissue repair. What the O-Shot Plus™ does is take the process a step further by also using stem cells. The goal is to restore optimal firmness to the vaginal tissue. If tissue in this area is too tight or too loose, a woman may have difficulty achieving an orgasm. There are some non-sexual benefits as well, including having younger, smoother skin within the treated area and improvements with bladder control.

P-Shot vs. P-Shot Plus™

The concept with the Priapus Shot and P-Shot Plus™ is similar. The P-Shot Plus™ works by regenerating tissues in the male genital area. For men, this type of treatment may improve the ability to achieve or maintain an erection. Men with concerns about penis size, shape, and curvature may also benefit from the P-Shot Plus™. It also involves the use of platelet-rich plasma and stem cells delivered via injections into the area that’s being treated. Some men notice improvements with penile girth and sensitivity. The regeneration of healthy tissue in the penis can also increase circulation and reduce or eliminate discomfort associated with erections.

Good Candidates for the O-Shot Plus™

Women considered good candidates for the O-Shot Plus™ are otherwise healthy women who frequently experience pain during intercourse (dyspareunia). Vaginal tissue that’s too tight or loose may also result in difficulty achieving vaginal orgasms. While adult women in all age groups may benefit from the treatment, it’s not unusual for women who have gone through menopause to notice issues with a change in vaginal elasticity. If this is what you are experiencing, the O-Shot Plus™ may reverse these issues by stimulating new tissue growth. If you are a woman with concerns about sexual health, you may also benefit from this type of treatment, especially if you are dealing with any of the following issues or concerns:

• Difficulty with arousal from clitoral stimulation
• External vaginal skin that’s no longer smooth
• Overactive bladder and/or urinary incontinence problems
• Decreased vaginal lubrication

Good Candidates for the P-Shot Plus™

A common reason for men to consider the P-Shot Plus™ is because of erectile dysfunction issues that aren’t being resolved with medication and similar treatment efforts. Men considered good candidates for this treatment are otherwise healthy individuals wishing to achieve a stronger, firmer, and/or larger erection. However, it’s important to understand that the P-Shot Plus™ is not a penis enlargement procedure. If you are a man, you may also be a good candidate for this treatment for other reasons. Some of these include:

• Painful erections due to Peyronie’s disease
• Scar tissue that’s affecting the penis shape
• Decreased sensitivity within the penis
• Reduced libido or sexual desire

Men with an enlarged prostate or those who had previous issues with prostate cancer may also be considered acceptable candidates for the P-Shot Plus™. This is especially true if prostate problems are also contributing to erection issues.

How Does the Procedure Work?

A good way to get a better idea of whether or not you may be a preferred candidate for the O Shot P Shot Plus™ is by understanding a bit more about how this treatment works. The platelet-rich plasma that’s used contains special proteins called growth factors. These proteins help with the tissue healing and regeneration process. Stem cells are also used, leading to even more benefits. The highly concentrated mixture of platelets and stem cells encourages increased healing and regeneration in the treatment area, ultimately contributing to beneficial tissue repair.

Are PRP and Stem Cell Injections Right for You?

Both the O Shot and P Shot Plus™ involve injections. For this reason, good candidates for either treatment are individuals without bleeding disorders or certain other conditions. If you take blood-thinning medications, you may be asked to temporarily stop taking them for a set amount of time to reduce risks. During your initial examination and consultation, you may also be asked about any skin-related allergies you might have that could affect the area that needs to be treated.

Have You Tried Other Treatments Without Success?

Many people who decide to get the O-Shot or P-Shot Plus™ first attempt to address sexual health issues on their own. For instance, if you have persistent vaginal dryness, you may have tried a topical estrogen therapy and other moisturizing treatments. Or if you have ED, you might have explored your options with oral medications, testosterone replacement, or vacuum devices. You might have also made adjustments to your lifestyle habits – e.g., diet and exercise – but nothing has helped. If this sounds like your situation, the O-Shot or P-Shot Plus™ may be perfect for you.

Are You Committed to Following Any Post-Treatment Recommendations?

It’s important to understand that these treatments may not be the end of the efforts you’ll need to make to get the most out of the treatment. With both of these treatments, there are some post-treatment recommendations you’ll want to do your best to adhere to in order to boost your odds of seeing the results you are hoping to achieve.

For example, with the female procedure, some women may be advised to use certain exercises designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Using the treatment in combination with other modalities can oftentimes lead to a better outcome. However, it all depends on the unique case.

Are You Comfortable with Having Your Blood Drawn?

At a minimum, good candidates for these procedures need to be comfortable with having a blood sample taken. This is because each treatment involves the collection of a small amount of blood. This collected blood is then placed in a special machine called a centrifuge. It is then spun at very high speeds. What this does is separate the platelets and plasma from the rest of the blood. Next, the platelets and stem cells with their beneficial growth factors can be injected where they are needed.

With the female treatment, the mixture may be injected into the skin around the vagina that requires attention. With the treatment for men, the mixture can be injected into the penis. Both procedures are performed in the comfort of our office and require little to no downtime.

How Well are You Managing Other Health Issues?

Generally, simply having underlying health issues doesn’t mean you won’t be considered a good or acceptable candidate for the O-Shot or P-Shot Plus™. This being said, it can be helpful if you have chronic conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure under control before having the treatment. It’s especially important not to have any significant skin conditions that could contribute to an infection or other issues when the injection is administered.

Do You Have Realistic Expectations?

Ever since it was first used to treat tendon injuries in athletes, platelet-rich plasma has gained a reputation for its healing and regeneration benefits. Stem cells are also known for their amazing regenerative capabilities. Even so, it’s important to have realistic expectations when these solutions are used together for sexual enhancement.

While patients who respond well to the treatment may enjoy an increased ability to have vaginal orgasms or stronger, firmer erections, these results won’t happen immediately after the treatment. It can take multiple days or weeks for the highly concentrated mixture of platelets, plasma, stem cells, and growth factors to work on tissues in the treated area where the injection was given.

Also, realize that everyone reacts differently to the injections. This is because tissue healing and regeneration can be affected by several patient-specific factors, such as age and overall health and well-being. For some people, there will be gradual and progressive results.

For instance, men with erectile dysfunction might first notice improvements with sensation and function as tissues become healthier. And women might initially notice increased comfort during sexual activity. Additionally, you may see better results from more than one treatment depending on the situation.

Learn More Information During a Consultation

The only way to know for sure if you may benefit from the O Shot or P Shot Plus™ is to schedule an initial meeting with a professional and discuss your sexual health concerns. Take comfort in knowing that both of these treatments are considered safe since your own blood and stem cells are used to prepare the mixture needed for the injections. The O-Shot and P-Shot Plus™ are more effective than the regular O Shot and P Shot procedures that only use PRP, as both stem cells and PRP are used in our procedures.

To get started, book an appointment at Priority You MD, located in Clearwater, FL. During this meeting, you can get all the facts about the O-Shot Plus™ or P-Shot Plus™ procedure, including whether or not it can work for you. Contact us today to set up a consultation!
